We visited the Stonewall Jackson Headquarters Museum this week and really enjoyed the visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, the house is beautiful and we learned quite a bit about General Thomas Jackson. There are several personal items that belonged to the General...More

The docent, dressed in period clothing, presented us with the home's history and explained the artifacts in the rooms and cases. One of her accounts was the connection between Mary Tyler Moore and General Jackson. One of the actress's ancestors (great-great-grandfather, I think) owned the...More

Nothing matches having a Southern Dame be your tour guide through such an auspicious attraction. Great sense of the people who lived there, the collections' provenance, all shared with understated wit. Unfortunately not for those having to use wheelchairs-several steps without and within.

This historical attraction is tucked away but just go to visiter centre in Winchester and you are given a map and driving instructions to the property. We were shown around by a very knowledgable man who could answer all our questions. The rooms are set...More

Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson is one of my heros, so I am biased, but, this is a great way to spend a few hours. The house tour was conducted by a lady who was a foundation of knowledge about "Stonewall", the house and the surrounding area.

I am a big fan of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. The house tour was conducted by a lady who was a wealth of information about "Stonewall", the house and the surrounding area. Can not think of a bertter way to spend a few hours.

$5.00 adult, $4.50 seniors, less for children. Best value, a $10.00 ticket for three attractions: Jackson's HQs, Washington's Office and Abram's Delight, ticket good foe a full year.
