Mike is a wonderful host and made our visit/tour/tasting the highlight of our day exploring Bainbridge island. He explained the grapes he grows, how they are aligned with the climate/conditions and his exploration of varietals well suited to the climate. The tasting covered 8 wines, including 3 whites and a dessert wine made fully from island sources. We really wanted... More

After you exit the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, drive about 5 miles and you will come across a small sign saying 'Winery Open'. Don't just drive past and think you'll stop on the way back! Mike Lempiere is the chief grower, vintner, and bottle washer. It's a one man operation and his passion for what he does will... More

Visited here over the Memorial Day weekend with a friend. We were on foot, so it was a pretty good hike from the ferry up to here, but we got our exercise in for the day. The owner of Perennial Vintners is fantastic...so welcoming and knowledgeable. Also, he is one of only 2 wineries that use grapes grown on Bainbridge... More

We made a return visit to Bainbridge on a Friday hoping to visit a couple of wineries, only to discover that many only have open tasting hours on weekends. We decided to give Perennial a call, just in case. Mike, the owner, answered and said he'd be happy to have us come in for a tasting. As we drove up... More

We stopped unplanned, on our way across Bainbridge Island. Mike has done a great job with his wines. The previous reviews are dead on, not much I can add except we feel lucky to have chanced upon Perennial Vintners. Nothing like hearing about the wines from the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. He is not far from the ferry terminal... More

We went to visit Perennial Vintners on the day before Valentine's day and wanted to get off to an early start because we had a lot planned. This winery opens at 10am on Sundays so we thought we'd give it a try. The friendly owner greeted us at 9:45 (we made it there earlier than expected) and gave us a... More

This is a small-business run company, but you still get good treatment and good wine at an affordable cost. The owner takes you around the vineyard (weather permitting) and tells you about the history of his vineyard as well as the vineyards in the vicinity. Then, you get to taste several of the wines, some which are unique to his... More
