It's electrifying !

Such a fun place to visit. I would allow 1 hour for the main Museum and the 2:30 mega Zapp show is a must. Kiddos loved all the interactive displays.

Founded and funded by generous citizens interested in educating modern youth on the last 100 years of electrical technology invention, this museum is entirely worth several visits.

Yes the old name did not really appeal to the younger generation, but they could have been so much more than one mans vision. Yes his vision was good - originally - but didn't adapt in the best way. There is so much history here, not even all on dispplay and yes a lot of it makes no sense anymore... More

This was unlike anything I'd seen. It's great if you don't understand anything about electricity (and probably if you do, but I wouldn't know!). It's also fun if you like history--there was a good audio history of electrical discoveries, plus lots of old radios, TVs, etc. Plenty of interactive stuff, including a theremin! The highlight is the one-hour show demonstrating... More

We went specifically for the show (we'd been told it was good.) We arrived an hour early, and then easily spent that hour looking at the exhibits and playing with the hands-on interactive activities before we headed into the show. One of the docents who was working with the gramophones was particularly nice to us and had a lot of... More

Actually, we went there over 6 years ago, recommnended to us when we took an exploratory a trip from Seattle to Bellingham. Not hard to find, need to know the hours open, but worth planning to be in the town when this place is open. Fun for everyone, old and young, always something to see and learn. I said we... More

Fascinating displays of vintage electronics backed by well done educational materials and displays. The array of wonderful 'cutting edge" radios an other simple electrical instruments was like no other we have seen.

The amount of electric and electronic devices throughout history is incredible. Of particular interest is a functioning theremin and the huge Tesla coil Zapper.

Lots to see, many things seen authentic rather than reproductions. Exciting to see how far we've come in using and controlling electricity. A must see for anyone who likes history or enjoys antiques. Don't miss the special show on the weekends with the giant Tesla. It's a great show!! What an amazing staff!!
