A Gem!

Fabulous spot to walk either around the lake or try a more challenging trail. No motor boats are allowed so it is superb for kayaking. Truly heaven on earth.

This is a nice park that is not very crowded. picnicking areas, walking trail, and fishing. All very close.

Took the trail through the forest around the scenic lake. It's a great way to breathe some fresh air right in town.

I've heard some describe this as a "Kiddie Pond." Seems the hiking/biking trail around the lake must be close to three miles. Trout fishing has always been good and I've heard there's kokanee but never caught any. August is a great time to harvest black berries. I've never had a bad time at this lake.

Walking or running around Lake Padden is a joy in good weather or bad. The 2.6 mile trail has a great mixture of ups, downs,, and flat. There's a nice balance of running along the lake & time where you have trees to shade you in the sun and shelter you from rain. There are many side trails to provide... More

The walks available around Lake Padden are not only a healthy two to four mile hike, but an array of views and environments in a tranquil setting. The lake itself is beautiful and pristeen - the water is clear and sparkling. Whether you are there on a sunny day, when the marine squalls are whipping up whitecaps, or even in... More

Originally we just wanted to spend some time on the beach and to have a swim in the lake - which we did; the water was cold just as it should be, given that the lake is fed by the mountain streams. Then my 85-years-old Dad said he wanted to take a walk around the lake. It was the end... More

Spring: a great place to have children play on the playground, walks on the trail around the lake, and if not windy- go for a canoe or kayak spin. Summer: play in playground, picnics, swimming, canoe or kayak . Fall and winter great for walks on the trail. Dogs: love the enclosed dog play area Golfing Shelters to rent for... More

The three mile circuit of Lake Padden has to be one of the best local walks. True, it isn't challenging but as an introduction to Pacific Northwest countryside it cannot be beaten. The walk will have you wanting to do more challenging walks in the outlying countryside. Hugely popular and yet it is still possible to be away from it... More
