If you've got small kids, this is definitely a place you need to stop by. My son loved it here but you're not going to spend more than an hour. Great for small kids with short attention spans.

Looking for something to do with the grandkids (2 & 5), we stopped by the Bug Museum. It’s part retail store and part hands on exhibits. Both kids loved the magnifying glasses, where there are dozen of bugs, insects and crawling things to examine up...More

This museum is FREE. And it is full of mostly preserved and mounted, some live bugs from all over the world. There are also some snakes and lizards, all alive and well cared for by those at this very interesting museum. Caution to those, like...More

I took my grandkids there and they had a great time! Lots of creepy crawlers for them to see! Good way to kill a hour or so!

Took a field trip here with students. Everyone had a great time. Staff were helpful and lots to see. The best part is it's free!

Good thing that all the creepy crawlers are in cages or see through boxes. Good eww factory for young and old. Clean bright and doesn't smell, not only bugs and spiders, but snakes and lizards. Selection of souvenir type stuff too that will appeal mostly...More

Great stop for under-12 kids, to peer at tarantulas, etc in about a dozen cages. This is also a souvenir shop with the science kits, fossils, gems etc you'd expect. Not really a must-see, but you won't regret stopping.

Our 2-year-old mostly enjoyed the swimming turtles, but we were able to pry him away long enough to enjoy the amphibian display. Sadly, the snakes were awesome but didn't move much, so our son didn't notice how cool they were. He did like the lizards...More
