Fantastic place to explore whether biking or hiking. Scenery is beautiful and you feel as though you have it all to yourself. We hiked miles and fished some of the small creeks and rarely saw another person out there. There's lots of public land and if you see a rancher don't hesitate to ask for permission to access his land... More

The tour leaders at Shutterbug Photo Tours have been to the Palouse over 20 times and are both serious photographers. So when other tour guides are driving back to the hotel during the golden hour, the participants of the Shutterbug Photo Tour are still out there catching the best light at the best locations. They also took us to places... More

Jack knows every back road, old barn, abandoned car and Canola field around. He knows where to shoot for morning light and evening light. While other... More

I saw photos of what I thought were the rolling green hills of Tuscany. They turned out to be the sensual hills of The Palouse in June.I did my research on photo opps in the area and booked a workshop with Chip Phillips. Chip lives in Spokane and has some great shots on his web page. He knows where and... More

After doing an extensive search of the many photo groups offering photo tours to the Palouse, I finally settled on, Palouse Country Photo Tours (www.palousetours.com). The tour leader, Jack Lien, a professional photographer and long time resident of the Palouse, far exceeded my expectation; that is why I have decided to go along with him again this year on his...
