I was driving from I-90 to Omak and SIRI gave me directions for a backroad. The drive was beautiful and I found a little gem called Dry Falls. In its prime it was 10x the size of Niagra Falls. It is a beautiful and surprising...More

There are several places to go in the park. Most popular seamed to be Deep Lake. A secluded recreational lake with great ambiance. Lots of kids in the water with various gear. Dry Falls lake was mostly visited by people fishing, but it's an interesting...More

The Dry Falls scenic overlook is always worth stopping, but when the visitor center is open, it is mandatory. One could easily spend an hour reading the various exhibits and watching the videos, or staring out the windows at the magnificence of Dry Falls. It...More

Yup bears. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't found tracks. Well that just adds to the adventures. The area is beautiful but I would say off trail hiking should be left to those in pretty good shape and up to some rough...More

We are planning a road trip from Seattle to Central Washington and it seems Dry Falls is a must see attraction. Could some one suggest where is the nearest decent city/town to stay on our route? We are traveling with 2 years old.

Try Soap Lake, it has a few places to both stay and eat, and so does nearby Ephrata, and the drive up the Grand Coulee to get to Dry Falls from there is outstanding.
