Great view

The drive up from Glacier is somewhat of a pain, but it's worth the effort. The views of Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker are really spectacular.

We had a nice sunny day. Could see Mt Rainier in the distance. Reflecting lakes were awesome. Went in morning and again at sunset.

Went here for the hiking, the parking lot was almost full, but the people were friendly on the trials and fantastic views of mt baker. The trails were great and we will come back again. A good hint - have the $5 change for the parking pass. Beautiful place to visit

We went and hiked in this area- just beautiful! with any different trail lengths and options available or whatever type of hiker you are. We had a 2 yo with us so we did a couple of easier hikes, but still had beautiful scenery! it was a beautiful clear day. I hope we can go back sometime and do more... More

The area has a variety of summer trails and great views. The best place to go is Artists Point and take a walk from there. Pick a clear day!

Went up to Artist point just above the ski area. One can get there when the snow level is low and sometimes in the August time frame. It is well worth a visit since the area is so scenic and the hiking is great. The day we visited the mountain was in the clouds but there was still plenty to... More

We decided to drive from Bellingham to Heather Meadows Visitor area at Mt Baker. Had no idea that the 1 hr 45 minutes drive on hwy 542 would yield such beauty. Once at the visitors center, you learn of the many hikes and road to Artist Point. Definitely take the time and go there. The hikes are not strenuous and... More

We drove from Vancouver through Sumas border crossing, the drive all the way up to the mountain was spectacular. The scenery at the top is amazing at each point from Picture Lake to Artist Point. Suggest taking a picnic as there is no provision to buy food.

I lost count on the number of times i've been up here. The best thing is it's beautiful in any season. Summer is the most accessible of course with the road to artist's point being open. But there is nothing like the mountains draped in a fresh coast of snow either. Also in fall you can find some red ground... More

Made the drive up to the end of the Highway. Really not a bad road for going up a mountain. We felt the drive was certainly worth it. Beautiful views and snow in June.
