I spent some time exploring this pretty place while out geocaching with a friend. Many paths/trails lead across grassy dunes to a incredible stretch of sandy beach. The state park offers many opportunities for camping from RV sites to traditional camping spots, but what caught my eye were the yurts! Wonderful place to spend a weekend or just the day.

An out of the way type of place with both camp sites and yurts. There is a long stretch of empty beach. Restrooms and showers are spotless. During the off season the park is mostly empty. The small adjoining town offers little so come prepared.

Because it was off season staff was very spars, but still made regular rounds throughout the camp ground. The bathrooms, and showers were always Clean and s2shocked tocked. The camp ground was Clean, even saw maintenance blowing leaves and pine needles off road and rv sites. After checking out our receipt though, we realized we had been overcharged by $5.00... More

We had a mid-week camping trip here as the grand finale of our summer, and were impressed with the upkeep, the vast beach, and the level of campsite privacy at Grayland Beach. This was our first experience with "yurting," and we were very pleased; we had thought a yurt would just be a glorified tent, but found it to be... More

Very nice state park right on the beach. Very clean and well-maintained. Also very difficult to get a reservation unless you book well in advance. We stayed in a yurt for the first time and would not recommend it. They're nice but overpriced for what you get - dusty, some bugs, an obnoxious clear dome in the ceiling, no cooking... More

This is a great state park. You can tell they take pride in keeping it very clean. The beaches were very wide and went on for miles!

Boyfriend and I stayed in one of the many Yurt's at Grayland State Park. I would recommend yurt 120 for great privacy and proximity to washrooms. The yurt is large enough to fit 4 adults and 2 kids. There is 1 futon and 1 bunkbed. Tokens are needed for showers which can be purchased at the main post. The cost... More

Very nice state park campground. Well maintained and nice facilities. Full hookups available as well as yurts. Campsites organized in pods with a wheel and spoke design making backing in a breeze. Short walk to ocean beach. Each site is very private with trees separating each camp.

We've been coming here for at least 20 years, if not more. We always schedule our Independence Day getaway for this park. There are 60 semi-secluded back-in recreational vehicle spots but a few of them now have yurts. The 51-60 spots tend to be wetter than the others. There are also a number of spots much nearer the beach but... More

My husband and I stayed in one of the pet friendly yurts last weekend and had a really great time. The yurt was the perfect size and can easily accommodate up to 5 people if necessary - there is a bunk bed with a queen mattress on bottom and a twin on the top and a futon. If we go... More
