Pioneer Park is a local park towards the south limits of La Conner. There are a few trails and some good views over the inlet and the waterways. Pedestrian access to the Rainbow Bridge is via the trails withn the park. There are several picnic areas with seats and tables ... would be perfect on a hot summer day.

One of our favorite walks is down through the park, under Rainbow Bridge and down into the town of La Conner. There's a hill or stairs to walk down depending on your path. You can picnic or have a family gathering here. Restrooms are available.

This is a beautiful spot along the Swinomish Channel offering both forest and water views. Walking paths vary from challenging to easy.

This is a great little park if you are looking to get some cardio in the morning. I'd suggest doing the loop a couple of times. I crossed the bridge to the opposite side of the channel and had a four mile round trip walk.

It is more than "Just a Park". It is a natural site covered with trees at a high elevation that overlooks the Rainbow Bridge. A great place for groups or families to enjoy a picnic or just walk on the trails. One may be underwhelmed because this is a small park, but, it is beautiful, and will serve you if... More

We stopped there looking to do some walking because our brochure said there were many paths there. There were some lovely picnic tables and a short path to the underside of Rainbow bridge. That was about it. Wasn't worth getting the kids out of the car for.

It's nothing special. On the hill in La Conner. The town has formed a parks commission and they are working on building a park along the water but until that happens. This is nothing special and there is nothing compelling to bring me back.

I've been to several events at this park and it has decent facilities and a nice view. The negative side is that it can be a hangout for local drunks. I probably wouldn't recommend it for families or children unless it was a special event.

It's pretty and their are some trails but nothing to write home about. If you walk down/up into or from town there is some interesting native artwork that is worth seeing. The park has a small amphitheatre but I have never been there when it was in use nor have I seen any advertising of events at that location.

According to the park's website, it is available for groups to rent. Apparently that's what happened May 31 when we went to visit; it was closed. Don't go out of your way.
