The scenery from the crescent shaped First Beach in La Push is incredible. There are huge "rocks" there, one in particular that the public is prohibitted to visit. It's an old burial ground for the chiefs of the Quileute tribes and also a place from where they whale watched in the past.

Great spot for sunset. We went there twice cuz we were there a little late the first night, but that gave a chance to see the moon and the dusk. Spectacular view with those big rocks (islands?!) sat there. Not sure if it's great spot for walking along the beach, it seems less flat but more rocky.

We are from the east coast. This beach was very different. The ocean washed stones and driftwood are beautiful.

Very pretty place, easy to get to, and it's free. Wasn't a lot of people. Compared to other area beaches.

This is an absolutely amazing beach. It is truly the first Pacific Coast beach experience I had and it was amazingly wonderful. It was a sun shining day, the sea was calm and the waves lapping against the shore made it so wonderful for walking. The driftwood stacked everywhere was wonderful. People were making beach fires as sunset approached. Looking... More

The beach has a lot of driftwood that create strange shapes. These are good for photos. It was a bit cool here, keep a jacket handy.

It's an easy hike of about a mile down to the most gorgeous sandy beach with inspiring imagination and soothing the soul with the sound of the ocean. It's very popular, and there are many people walking on this trail, and yet, we saw a fresh pile of bear poop right in the middle of the trail. So be very... More

This is a pretty good beach to visit while in the Forks area to get a flavor of what the Olympic NP beaches have to offer. 3rd Beach is more secluded but a much longer hike whereas First Beach is accessible by car. Rialto Beach slightly north also offers a bit more and can also be accessed by car. I... More

The good thing about this beach is the easy access, unlike the other beaches where you must hike to. It's a big beach with a lot of driftwood. It overlooks a few of the small islands in the area and extends down a good chunk of the town. Because of the easy access it got pretty busy when we were... More
