Nice easy walk. Very quiet. It is easy to miss because there are no signs. Only a mile or so north of town.

We love this trail, first scoped this out as a possible elderly cart trail, but a creek crossing nixed that idea. But we keep coming back with the dogs, and let them run as we walk the generally flat trail on the other side of the river. The rapids are angry and fierce most of the Tumwater Canyon, but here... I don't know what took me so long to discover this hike. Conveniently located just outside of Leavenworth proper on Hwy 2 in beautiful Tumwater Canyon. Interesting history of this pipeline. Beautiful in the fall with the autumn foliage.

This is an beautiful, easy walk. Favorite part was crossing the bridge at the beginning. So if you are not ready to go on a long walk, at least walk the bridge. Great location for pictures

It is very pretty and the trail seems lovely. My only issue was less than a mile in the trail became a creek and was no longer passable.

This trail is a great hike that, due to its length and relative flatness, is for everyone. The area is simply beautiful, and the sound of the water is refreshing (you can hear traffic on Highway 2 on parts of the trail). The old bridge is a great photo-op, and due to its simplicity, you cannot get lost on this... More

This short but beautiful hike takes you over the river on the bridge as described. When we went in September 2015, the bridge was dry and easy to walk across. Gorgeous views with a nice hiking trail easy for children to hike with you. Worth a visit!

Nice, short, easy hike along this beautiful stretch of river. You can hear and see the highway for a bit and there's not much shade but it's nice. Keep on eye on the pools believe you. We saw a lot of huge salmon in the deep areas. Can be very dangerous to swim here early in the summer but the... More

A bit hard to find as it's just a pull off of Hwy 2 about 1 1/2 miles before you get to Leavenworth. There is access to the river here and several people were there swimming when we arrived. We walked over the bridge, which actually is the old pipeline, got some great views and pics, and tuned around because... More

This is a beautiful and peaceful trail that follows the Wenatchee river along the Tumwater canyon. The adventure is finding the hidden parking lot that leads to a unique half pipe bridge, the only remains of the water pipeline for the now gone power plant for the train. The remains of the power plant are close to the parking lot... More
