I loved this loop trail hike and we were ahead of the approaching rain. The trail parallels the beautiful Icicle River and then crosses the river winding through a mossy forest. The river was roaring with high water which you could hear on most of...More

This was a beautiful hike. Simple and the perfect length. Took a toddler in a jogging stroller and only needed to pick up the stroller a couple times. Highly recommend!

Some pretty views. However, WAY too long for a beginner. I strongly suggest starting out early in the day so as to avoid traveling in the woods at night. It takes more than 2 hours if you stop periodically to take photos. I also strongly...More

Quick drive from Leavenworth-stunning views. We took a hort hike and it start to lightly snow. The leaves are changing color and it is peaceful and quiet.

We took this drive out of town. So many pull outs and photo opportunities. We enjoyed the short hikes off the main road.

The drive along the river is beautiful. Lots of places to hike down to the river. Lots of camping. If you have a rugged car, the drive to the end (14 miles) is worthwhile. The river is beautiful in the winter.

It is not very far from Leavenworth but big part of the road is unpaved and full of dirt. You have to drive slowly otherwise lots of noise and dirt in air. Parking lot was easy to find with enough parking space. There is restroom...More

Multiple hiking options for different skill levels. Gorgeous scenery with views every direction. Plenty of parking areas. Roads do go to gravel, so don't go too far in if you drive a sports car! There is plenty of hiking not far from town.
