The water was fast and high. Worth stopping. Nice place for a couple of pictures. Spring melt off. The pull offs were convenient but required a little caution on reentry.

We drove the first 5 or 6 miles up this road just west of Leavenworth. There were great mountain views along the way. There were frequent areas to pull over and admire the powerful waters rushing down the gorge. We brought sandwiches from town and enjoyed a picnic lunch on the rocks overlooking the gorge.

This is a beautiful area and you can find some areas for hiking. The fall colors were gorgeous and the water blue and pretty.

If you want a quick look at just some of the outstanding beauty of the area, drive out to see this and walk down to the bridge and take in the majesty of the place.

Had a wonderful hike here with friends and family!!! Beautiful!!!!! Relatively easy so younger kids can go- and you can extend the hike (the loop) to add miles which we did. Very very nice!

Icicle gorge trail is beautiful and easy hike. It took 2 hours since it's a 4 or so mile loop. Will be going back next Oct. to see the fall colors. Trail very well maintained and lots of well defined parking.

We took this trail and the views are awesome. Nature in its finest. We got off the trail towards the end and hiked about 5 miles total. I am 70 years old and had no problems on this trek. Terrain is not steep or extreme at any point. I highly recommend this trail!

Pretty drive down Icicle Rd. to trailhead. 4.5 mls. with a 400' total elevation gain. Took us 2.5+ hrs. Nice views, bridges & overlooks.

Took my older parents out here while visiting Leavenworth for an afternoon outdoors. The road does go from pavement to a dirt road for about 2 miles, so leave your sports cars at home for this one. The walk was nothing special, but it was fairly quiet, peaceful, and leisurely. Between 4-5 miles roundtrip. Nice and easy way to get... More

My husband's hip was bothering him, so we opted for this easy 4 mile loop without many ups and downs. It would be good for a hot day, as it spent most of the time in the deep forest. We were hoping for more pretty fall colors, but most of that we saw in the drive to get here. Note... More
