Interesting but easy walk. Not much to see...just a walk along the spit (beach) through some old weather beaten logs that have washed ashore for probably hundreds of years. Relaxing walk.

We have enjoyed this stunning spot for a few years. It has a great spit you can walk out on and see boats of every variety and the Washington State Ferries making their rounds...fun for beach combing, sand castles and picnicking. There are camping sites...More

The spit is just great. If you rent kayaks in the morning you can catch a lot of wildlife in the water. The walks around the beach are wonderful. I really like this place -- just got to deal with the ferries (argh).

We walked to this park on our last day on Lopez Island, and was so glad that we did! The spit is a marshy, sandy triangle that comes remarkably close to Frosty Island. Birds abound, and the spit is popular for crabbing and digging clams,...More

Trails lead to a marsh where wintering water birds are protected. Fantastic views of water and nearby islands.

Surprisingly pleasant little park. We have visited parks on many of the islands in the San Juan Group. This one was small but really nice. The spit, the bird area, the channels - everything was nice.

Its an interesting land form. Its a bit to crowded for my taste. i have bern to better places. Roads nartow. Blind curves drive slow through privste land with farm animals.

We didn't stay in the campground but enjoyed walking around the spit. You can rent kayaks here as well. The campground was small and you would not be able to take a large RV.

If they had showers, I would have given them an excellent rating. Very nice clean bathrooms. Our camp site totally private....never stayed in one quite like it. Hedges about 6' tall totally enclosed the site. Most sites appeared to be similar. Love state parks and...More

Take the time to go all the way out on the spit to see the historical site. Cannot imagine what life was like back in the day there at that site. Great park for hiking, camping, sailing, or just roaming the beach area.
