Access to the ocean is easy at Damon Point. It's interesting to see the huge logs piled on the shore. We though we might find agates, but weren't so lucky.

This area is a sand spit into the Bay at Ocean Shores. The North Jetty appears to get more visitors but I prefer Damon Point. You can stroll down the beach on the ocean side and return down the Bay side. The Bay side water...More

We wanted to hike the loop trail on the spit but unfortunately we are camping with our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach area, but had to turn back as dogs aren't allowed on the trail. Will definitely come back and review when we can...More

A great place to view the icean and explore the area. Clean and plenty of parking. Great way to spend time in the ocean shores area.

We thoroughly enjoyed walking the beach here and found many agates ( a few big ones ), beach glass, and other cool stones. Low tide is obviously the best time to go, but any time will be better than sitting on the couch.

A nice place to walk on a sunny day. A long spit. Spotted owls. Pelicans, The topography changes after storms. Important to go on an outgoing tide to avoid getting stranded. Take your phone.

Still popular for agates but owls and other birds using the low lying trees are largely gone from the point. Damon point has been stripped to improve sand piper habitat so owls not likely in near future

My wife and I were there for a winter get away. Rode our fat bikes out to the far end of the point and back. With the storm surf breaking, it was great!

You should contact the Interpretive center. They will know if owls are there. The Snowy Owls are worth the trip, but not always visiting us.
