Winter Solitude Camping

Great for Winter Solitude camping. During the winter they leave only a couple of loops open and most of the campers are RV's who want hook ups to keep warm. Great location if... read more

Confusing paths so we were concerned about getting lost. Nice deserted beach on a weekday. Nice covered picnic pavillion for when there's rain.

Do not park unless you have a pass! Its a trap. They did offer me a break on my expensive ticket if I bought the pass, =/ The State of Washington is doing this to the parks to gather revenue. They make it so you have to buy the pass as there is no where else to park! You can... More

This park is a gem... beautiful setting with good camping and beach access. Can't ask for anymore than that!

We went camping looking for a storm. We have a trailer so weather is not an issue. The park was very wet, many of the sites had water standing and were mostly un-usable. We had a great time--even with the need for boots.

My husband & I love this beautiful little State Park and would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the constant fight with water and - ultimately - mud when it's raining. The campground is well maintained and most campsites are laid out to maximize a more private feel even when camped just yards from others. Beach access... More

This state park lies just north of the city of Ocean Shores. We camped at a full hook-up site as close to the beach as possible. Close means about a quarter-mile walk through coastal vegetation and dunes. The beach in this area is long, flat stretches of sand. Your visit will definitely be benefited by good weather, but being at... More

We came for a few hours with out two dogs. The campground was full with Labor Day week end guests but there were only three other cars down in the day use area. Out walk on the path to the beach was quiet and we only passed one small group on the way out and one on the way back... More

Plenty of park staff here and the campsites are well maintained. The trees and bushes between campsites are nice. There is a vendor coming around every evening with firewood and such.

We wanted our kids to have the opportunity to wade/swim in the Pacific Ocean. While you can drive onto the beach (for free I think) "in town" we didn't want to be surrounded by cars. You have to park and walk through some amazing coastal dunes. When we arrived it was hazy and you could barely see the ocean. Thankfully,... More
