We arrived on Orcas Island in our boat, but rented a car to explore the island. While there are many interesting places to see, our favorite was a drive to the top of Mt. Constitution. The road is very good, albeit somewhat narrow in spots...More

You have to make your reservations early, but there's no comparison. These are great campsites - particularly if you like proper bathrooms and hot showers. The hike around and views from Cascade Lake are outstanding. Mountain Lake is always a nice excursion. Mt. Constitution is...More

We tent-camped at the Midway campground on the Cascade Lake (south lake in the park). The campsite was very crowded and the sites were small. We booked too late and got one pretty much on a cliff, which added a lot of stress having 3...More

Lakes to swim in, M. Constitution to climb, parks to picnic in, trails to hike and majestic views from the top of the mountain. Wonderful!

This is a wonderful state park with a low land lake and the wonderful views from the top of Mount Constitution. Do not miss taking advantage of each part of this park.

This is in our top 10 of Washington state parks. Incredible views at the top of Mt. Constitution. Beautiful hikes around lakes and up (and down) the mountain - but pay attention to the elevation gain indicated to determine if you want to do a...More

I visited the park during Labor Day weekend. Of course it was busy, but there were plenty of places you could find some solitude. During my trip I took the walk around Cascade Lake and then to Cascade Falls. I drove up Mt. Constitution and...More

Lots to do & see. Wish we had more time. Recommend on busy days to get to Mt Constitution early as they only allow so many vehicles up there. Wondering views of the Sound. Pack a picnic lunch & plan to stay all day. So...More

We went on hikes here each day of our visit. We did little summit to the tower (challenging and great work out), and the mountain lake hike 2xs (serene, level loop). A special place.

We took several hikes at Moran - some were more traveled than others - liked Little Summit (saw three other hikers) and the hike to Twin Lakes (not many folks). Beautiful country!

Depends on if one is walking on the road or trail. Are we talking about Mount Constitution? That trail is extremely steep in portions so you have to take it slow and hiking poles would be a good idea. Trail shoes clearly... More

Only went to Moran SP, if you plan on hiking. Plan at least a day visit, other wise 1/2 day if you will not be doing any hiking. If you plan on camping I think you can make reservations. Do that ASAP.
