A walk along the centennial trail in Spokane was especially nice in March 2017, when the very high water levels made for a really rushing river. So fun to watch, almost mesmerizing.

You can actually take the trail from west of downtown all the way to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The walk along Riverfront Park is great. Good for bicycling if you want to explore more. If you are a hardcore biker, plan a day to ride...More

I have read that the portion of this trail (including the Idaho portion) on either side of the Washington-Idaho border that runs near Interstate 90 is uncomfortably close to the Interstate. True?

It is close to the interstate but it is not dangerously close where you would have to have a concern.
