The SteamPlant restaurant has really good food, variety of choices, and good brews to choose from. Located in the Steam plant building, you can stop and read the plaques describing the old building's history and see some of the old equipment still there. Restaurant is busy, but you can try dropping in and go downstairs to the bar area and... More

Love the food, architect, service and location. Had to pay for parking, but they took it off our bill which was great! Buffalo meatloaf was amazing and we would come back again to try some of the other offerings. Was nice to be able to stay parked there and walk around downtown a bit too.

The Steam Plant Restaurant was a unique experience and a must see for all that visit Spokane. The dinner was excellent and the drinks satisfying.

Food was pretty good. A little pricy though. Got seated pretty quickly for a Valentines dinner. Liked the atmosphere.

This is truly a piece of history. You can walk through the steam plant, read interpretive signs and see the old pipes. It's been kept true to form, yet an amazing dining location. Parking is spendy, but if you have dinner they will reimburse the cost. A great place to visit.

Really not that special. Interesting to look at some of what used to be a steam plant. Not really much else to see. They advertise shops and food but my wife and I found not much of interest or anything good to eat. If you are totally bored with nothing else left to see and do in Spokane I guess... More

This place has a really neat atmosphere and you can go into one steam stack. I had the jalapeño beer, which was not good and the Gumbo which was ok but not great. The service was excellent, I would recommend for a neat place but have reservations on the food.

Toured the square for 45 minuets before dinner at Stacks Restaurant located in the square. Allot of local history in the building and very interesting how they converted space for use. If desire you can eat your meal in a converted Steam boiler firebox with some of the pipes still installed.

Those of you who love history, industrial architecture, engineering and something unique to visit in Spokane will love it here, as well as those enjoying a steam punk atmosphere. Enter from the main street and you go through office space and boutique shopping; keep going and you will see a main open area which is the inside of an old... More

Instead of taking down an old building, they built some stores and restaurants around the old steam plant. You still can see history while either dining or shopping. Ingenious and with a lot of character. Kudos to whomever thought of that.
