Fantastic 🌹 flowers and greenery, especially the ferns, so many different varieties. The beach is nice but cold. Ferry available to a Vashold Island. Beautiful flowers. Plan to take at least a day. You won't regret it. Plan a picnic!

Being from Hawaii where land is in short supply, I throughly enjoyed this park. The kids could run forever and the adults ltried to keep up. Try to go every time I visit my family. So many places to stop off and relax.

Or. Defiance park and zoo is the best. There is so much to see. Walking trails, BBQ down by beach, driving through 5 mile drive you will see several colors of our state flower,a deer may walk in front of you or a fox run...More

The Point Defiance Park offers the full range of attractions that would be normal for a metropolitan city; zoo, gardens, beach, tennis courts, walking paths. What is unusual are the hiking trails through a minimally touched by man forest that provide an idea of what...More

A great place for young kids. They can pet small sea creatures and see most small animals you don't see in big Zoos. What I like in this zoo is that it has outdoor and indoor facility, so when you're tired, you can go indoor.

We especially like all the beautiful gardens - the Rose Garden is exquisite, and the Begonia Gardens are the best. The 5 mile drive is great, just way too much to describe in full.

Never tire of taking the 5 mile drive on a sunny evening. So many raccoons to greet you along the road! Just lovely!!

Quite a beautiful drive through the entire park. Saw a few wild animals and many birds. The roads are very well kept and it was easy traveling.

Hey, does anyone know anything about the red foxes at Point Defiance Park? I have seen arctic foxes there (at least at the zoo), but never seen a red fox through there (even on the 5 mile drive). I have raccoons and deer, but am curious to see where all of the red fox sightings are and how to go about seeing them. Has anyone else had a sighting of the red foxes at Point Defiance (besides the arctic foxes at the zoo)

Historically, we have had red foxes living in the park, but regulars have said there have been fewer sightings in recent years. They are extremely elusive, nocturnal animals. There are no particular locations in the park... More
