This place is beautiful. Done miss the scenic drive, if I had more time I would love to walk the 5 miles, but it was enchanting in a car as well. The miss between forest just makes you feel like you are in another time, it is very calming. The fort was closed when we went (too early) but the... More

We decided to go on a whim and so glad we did! We just drove the 5 mile loop in the car, but it was beautiful. I got to exercise my camera quite a bit. Can't beat the price of free either!

Job, walk, or drive along 5 mile drive and you feel as if you are in 1800s old growth virgin forest. The view of the narrows and Gig Harbor is spectacular. Accessible all seasons

The Pacific Northwest is reknown for it's vast canopy of evergreen forests. In the City of Tacoma, there is a pennisula jutting into the Puget Sound that encompasses acres of unspoiled woods. It is called Point Defiance Park and is a perfect place to enjoy endless shades of green, ranging from ferns to firs. The trails meander through lush undergrowth... More

You can see what Tacoma was like 200 years ago. Beautiful hiking paths around the park. The 5 mile drive around the perimeter is wonderful . Fort Nisqually interpretive center gives you a glimpse of how the frontiersman lived. The icing on the cake is the zoo.

I love point defiance park. We scouted the area for wedding photos and cannot wait to use this gorgeous view as the backdrop to our photos! There are many areas in the park to discover and use as photo backdrops.

If having this great zoo in our backyard year round wasn't enough we get to enjoy the magic of Zoolights during the holiday season. If you haven't experienced it, make sure it's on your 2017 must-do list over the holidays.

This is the finest park I have found yet in the Seattle/Tacoma area. The manicured grounds are beautiful and the woodland trails and waterfront access are like being in another world. Wonderful
