Point defiance has great views and tons of activities for the whole family. Plan enough time to make a whole day the area. There is a zoo, hiking trails, shops and restaurants, museum, marina, dog park and a very scenic drive.

Among my favorite experiences and pictures are those from Point Defiance Park. I was dog-sitting my friends' pups and took them to the dog park...more fun than you can imagine, and the view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge is still one of my top-ten photos.

On a nice day, it's a great drive with lots of pretty scenery and water views - and usually several different large groups of raccoons being feed along the road - right in front of the "do not feed the wildlife" signs!
