Beautiful presentations for every season. Entrance is by donation only. It is part of a large intercity park. It isn't cloyingly hot or humid inside They have a stupendous gift shop ! You'll be very glad you went !

Located on the North side of Wright Park, Seymour Botanical is a pretty little conservatory that has been around for over 100 years. It's a lovely tropical stop replete with a small koi pond that lifts my spirits during the winter. There's a suggested donation but anyone may walk in and enjoy the greenery. There's also a tiny and very... More

What a lovely and unexpected surprise! Such a beautiful little garden, full of orchids, water plants and Venus fly traps. There were some very well developed Pitcher plants, which I had never seen get that large! The staff all seem to love their jobs and are willing to answer bucket loads of questions from wanna-be gardeners! Even my grumpy teenager... More

Lots of exotics and an impressive array for such an unassuming greenhouse. Particularly if it is a cool day, this is a nice refreshing burst of hot and humid!

Wright's Park is a large urban park in the middle of Tacoma, Washington. In addition to the botanical garden at the conservatory - there are wonderful walking trails throughout the park. It's a great place for the family on a sunny day!

This is a small garden but extremely beautiful! The gift shop has great treasures and the garden was decorated for Halloween. Free admission and worth the time to check it out! Truly a must see!

I've passed the Seymour Botanical Conservatory on walks when I've visited Tacoma but never stopped by when it was open. Today I lucked out. It's a small Victorian glass garden spot, bulging with orchids, ferns, coleus, palms and much more. A peaceful stop on a rainy day! Quiet, soft music in the background, fountains, koi in a pond beneath towering... More

The facility is very small and the collection limited and not well identified. The admission was not free with a suggested donation. I belong to a national arboretum organization which listed this as one of the participating gardens and was charged admission anyway. So if, like me, you are a serious garden lover and from out of town it not... More
