Cat In the Hat

We had front row seats to Cat in the Hat play for children. Excellent performance by all the cast members. We will return in January to see Frog and Toad!

We loved this play! All of the actors and actresses kept us engaged and laughing. Can't wait to go back and see as many plays as possible. They really did an amazing job. The theater itself is also well kept. Bathroom and gathering areas were immaculate. Loved it here!!!

My mother n law is a season ticket holder. I love the plays. Everything that is done first class.. not a big fancy production or plays. Nice family place.

Tacoma musical theater (TMP) performs live musicals. It is an easily accessible local venue in Tacoma. The quality of their productions has improved greatly over the years with all their performers and tech crew now being paid. I have enjoyed performances by singer who are regularly seen in the Seattle Opera chorus. The staging, technical production and directing are equal... More

We went to see a friend of my wife perform. We had a little trouble finding it but there is free parking right across the street at a park and ride...which was really convenient. We were a little late and went in to buy tickets the guy at the box office told us to go ahead and find seats and... More

A lot of heart and energy. Fun shows by local actors who simply love the joys of acting. Always something going on.

This place has some wonderful plays and the prices are reasonable. They do however need to improve on the place greatly. Seats were run down and uncomfortable and place looks old and run down. There was a dog running around the lobby that was friendly, however people that are allergic or may not like dogs may find this a turn... More

We went to an afternoon matinee - the production as "Oliver." It was excellent. The cast members were all truly talented and we enjoyed the show very much. Kudos to this community effort for giving us an enjoyable afternoon at the theater.

Have now been there for three different musical plays. Excellent Productions! Most of the actors are local volunteers. You would never know they weren't all professionals. A converted old movie theater that has been expanded to fit the purposes of the actor/musical troupe. Top notch entertainment! Very reasonable prices. Be sure to go to the free "Behind the Curtain" the... More

This Playhouse produces the highest quality semi-professional theater anywhere. Being from NYC and having seen many "professional" shows, let me just say the Tacoma Musical Playhouse comes VERY close to some of the best performances I have ever seen. Very talented actors and singers, high level sets and overall excellence.
