The day was high in temperature but nonetheless bits of shade could be found throughout this pleasant park to ward off that feeling of exhaustion one gets with to much sun exposure. All of my kids enjoyed their own sections like the slide for my young boy and boulder for climbing that my daughter continuously jumped from. Good times for... More

This 70 acre urban natural area has multiple nature walks with informational signs for self guided tours. Although you could do a small section of any 'walk', they range from .5 miles to 2+ miles of well groomed trails. In addition there is an exhibit building featuring the animals, insects and water creatures to be found along the trails if... More

This Nature Center is small, but free and informative. The actual center has some small reptiles, a beehive peekaboo window, a dress up area and some small exhibits. They also host preschool classes, summer programs and birthday parties. Outside they have a nice nature trail that includes a bridge over the "lake". This is a great location to view some... More

Nice short flat loop walk. Especially good for 3-8 yr olds -- but nice for everyone. Look for turtles!

I bring my daughter here all the time, we go on walks & I always let her play before we leave, they have an awesome wood themed play area, you will have to check it out if you havent done so already.

This park and nature center is a way to spend an enjoyable hour or so. Enjoy a nice easy walk around the lake, see many birds and visit some good exhibits. For locals the Center has excellent classes for understanding our environment for children.

Love the place. It has trails to walk on that are different lengths.Easy hiking trail with pleasant nature interaction along the way. This is a great place to "get away from it all" right in the middle of a city. Picnic area is wonderful too

The Tacoma Nature center is a fun and educational center for the entire family. The trail is very well designed and provides a nice opportunity to go for a lovely stroll through the woods while being in the middle of town.

Whenever I'm in the area visiting my family I take long walks around the lake. It is so serene and lovely. A snake crossed my path the last time I visited (about two weeks ago). What a fun surprise. I also saw a coyote on another visit. The education center is very cool too. Just a nice place to get... More
