Easy to get to, just at the edge of town. Nothing too strenuous for hiking right through the canyon. Easy out and back, or use a second car parked at other end. We frequently hike up to the winery for tastings.

I love the canyon trail for so many reasons: 1. It’s @ 6 miles so it’s wnough of a hike to feel like you did something but not so much that anyone would need to be left behind. 2. It’s beautiful! 3. Dog friendly 4....More

There arr lots of options on these trails. Flat, following the old railroad tracks, or coming down the hills, which means back up again. We took all three dogs who enjoyed the river.

We didn't go out there too long. We're not local here and not used to this hot. My little dog had problem walking in gravel road because it was too hot. I'd come back when the weather is cooling down.

Morning hikes before it gets hot is perfect for us! It's very beautiful and leisurely. You can make it as hard or as easy as you like.

This area is a nice little hike that can easily be accessed from in town Yakima. It is beautiful in spring and fall, but can get blazing hot in the summer! We have seen rattlesnakes a few times hiding under rocks at the top to...More

I've hiked Cowiche Canyon a number of times over the years. It's not a very strenuous trail, so almost anyone could handle it. There's a little cutoff trail that goes up to Naches Heights Winery that's marked. It's very scenic, and if you really pay...More
