This is a beautiful park that offers something for everyone. There are a wide variety of hiking trails of all levels, a sandy beach, boat rentals, fishing and horseback riding, golfing, dining, picnicking, and a game room for adults and kids. Holly

Stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. Visit here about once a year to relax and explore the trails. Great viewings of a variety of woodpeckers. The lodge is vintage, appreciate some of the updates to the rooms like new bedding, gourmet coffee in the...More

Had a great hike, trails very well-marked and wide in most places; some sections even had gravel. The reason for 4 stars is that the park has no office, but rather, after we asked around, we were sent to the resort check-in, where a nice...More

This small state park has great camping cabins and a wonderful Lodge building, which includes a restaurant. On this trip, we only stopped by for the day, but have stayed for several days at the Lodge. Every trip is fun and reminds of years gone...More

We have been coming here in February for years. Sometimes the weather is great and we can hike and other years, not so much. Still a nice relaxing weekend no matter what.

A beautiful park with many amenities. Did a little fishing and visited the lodge. Only thing missing is a swimming pool although there is a swimming lake with sand beach.

The park was lovely, and if you are there to hike and enjoy nature this will be your thing. The food was also very tasty, and plenty of it was served - you may even keep left-overs in their kitchen! The rooms are very basic...More

We came for the weekend and all the trails were closed for a controlled hunt so we walked in the roads with our dogs instead. It was our only chance to go while we’re in the area, so it was disappointing. The fall colors were...More

My husband and I hiked the Ridge Trail loop which is rated easy to moderate. We are both in our 60's in fairly good physical condition and didn't have any trouble navigating this trail. The most scenic area along the trail was the creek with...More

We went to Cacapon with a group and had a great time. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice but not five star (no hair dryer). The view out back on the stone porch is beautiful. They have tables and chairs where...More

I don't know if the lodge restaurant offers wine / beer. We stayed in the Old Inn and brought everything with us, cooked all of our own meals.
