good food and reasonably priced, the resturant is large and roomy and can accommadate large groups. The cook is very good with allergy restictions and can prepare the food to your needs and never makes you feel like it's a big deal..... really surprising to find that in the middle of nowhere.

Used the southern end of the trail to train for a 15k... unfortunately the trail is blocked off just north of Harper. We enjoyed the soft base built up on the railroad bed. During the Christmas week the valley had little wind making the 9 mile loop most enjoyable. There is enough foot traffic to make you feel safe but... More

We were out of towners here on Thanksgiving. It was a beautiful walk! Check it out on their official website so you know where any closures are on the trail, as many spots are closed / potentially inaccessible due to the flooding earlier this year to this area. Great nature spot! Perfect for walking, jogging, taking a stroll, taking pics,... More

Have used this trail many times, always loved it, we also would use the trail to connect to back roads and trails, easy riding so try it.

Paved Thru Marlinton. Gravel other areas. Flat path. Cleared. Wildlife. Easy access anywhere along the river. Great for families.

Started at Marlinton and went south 10 miles to Seebert then back to Marlinton very nice ride. About 3 miles is blacktop rest in small packed gravel. Good places to stop with picnic tables and rest room. NICE AND FLAT a very nice ride even for first timers

Be sure you use a fat tire bike! The section from Marlinton to Cass had miles of horse hoof divots which made for uncomfortable riding conditions. Other sections had loose gravel and chunky rocks embedded in the trail. There is a wonderful swimming spot at the south end of Sharps Tunnel.

Saw a bear! It was peaceful and beautiful, easy hiking or biking, with interesting stops along the way.

I have ridden most of the best ones in the past year--Katy in MO, Little Miami in OH, North Bend Trail in WV, Elroy-Sparta and 400 Trails in WI--and the Greenbrier is just as beautiful and pleasurable as any of them anywhere. The scenery is magnificent. I have never seen such clear river water. I stood on the bridge by... More
