The botanic garden preserves a nice area away from the city of Morgantown for people to enjoy nature. There are several trails including a raised area above a marshy ecosystem. Native plants and trees are marked with name plates. The area is great for a...More

We visited the gardens today to see purples, grays, and brown. Pine cones adorn the trees as fruits are also evident. The air is crisp and the leaves crunch under your feet. We built a rock formation and walked the trails. It is wonderful to...More

We went to get in a nice walk and got much more. It is beautiful and the cool Kiosks are very educational. It was beautiful even in the light rain. YOu need to see this if you get a chance.

We would have loved to be able to drive down to the Visitors Center and see the gardens and other foliage. Unfortunately, on Sunday morning around noon, the gate was closed and it only allowed access to the Garden via a path. We are Senior...More

This place is not very well advertised but it does have chevroned trails surrounding an old reservoir. There is not much signage and no evidence of other nature there. We did like the wetlands boardwalk.

This volunteer run park has pretty surroundings with paths. These trails are easily walkable.. Flowers, plants, and lots of different mushrooms are there for one to peruse. It is really worth a look if in Morgantown, and especially if you are a nature lover!

Yes, I have seen them there. I believe they have a leash mandate and a pet waste policy. It doesn't seem to be on their website. If you have additional questions contact Erin Smaldone (Education Director) at 304-216-8704.
