History and battlefields have always fascinated me. This was an unknown battlefield to me so it was very interesting reading the history. It serves as the grave sites of those lost in battle and of Chief Cornstalk who's history is also very interesting. There is an old house on the grounds that at one time served as a tavern. It... We walked from the Mothman statue down the flood walls to the park, walked around the park and then went down by the river. It is mostly clean. Nice to walk around and you get a nice breeze since it is right where the Ohio River and the Kanawha river come together. There have been weddings held in the park... More

A good place to find out about the fascinating history of point pleasant. Also nice to sit in the swing chairs and contemplate the rivers.

Unfortunately we visited while the park is not open - doesn't open until May. But nicely kept and markers with educational information

Enjoyed a brief walk around the park. Would be decent site for a picnic. The museum was closed, the monuments related to the pre-revolutionary battle and few historic markers were helpful, but not super descriptive of the site history. The views of the river are worth taking a quick walk around. Combined with a visit to the Mothman Museum

Not real informative. Nothing about the battles and battlefield. Very beautiful views of the two rivers.

See draft says to finish review. Well it has been so long now that I really do not remember this place. This was a stressful trip. Although it was great to see dear friends was sad in that trip was to attend Memorial for very dear friend of many years ago while serving in military. Had to select Jan 2017... More

We visited while in Point Pleasant to see the Mothman Museum. It was a nice little side attraction that held some fascinating history. The view is beautiful. At the corner of the park, you can see where the two rivers meet.

We actually weren't planning on going here, but we stopped at the Point Pleasant River Museum and realized it was literally right down the road from the museum. It is a beautiful setting, right next to the Ohio River. There are great unobstructed views of the Silver Bridge as well. Definitely worth a stop!
