This is a fun and interesting place to visit, whether you believe the stories of the mothman or have seen the movie/read the book. They have a great statue of the mothman right outside the museum. There is a small gift shop with lots of various Mothman trinkets, including shirts, hoodies, keychains, books, DVDs, etc. The museum is small, but... More

Kitschy, silly fun. My kids had been dying to go here since we moved back to West Virginia, so we came to check it out. Really great gift shop (that's probably as big as the museum itself) with all kinds of stuff. Museum is not large but has a great video in the back. This is where you should start.... More

The museum itself is quite small and has tons and tons of articles and things to read. I usually don't like to read plaques/info at museums, but since this really peaked my interest, I did read some - there was just so many newspaper articles and letters that after I read a few, I decided, "no way I'm going to... If you are interested in Mothman mystery - this is place for you. You will find there a lot of notes from newspapers from this time, some decor used in during filming movie. Also next door you will find a statue of Mothman. It is a sleepy little area but people are very friendly.

Very interesting and unique museum. Also, educational Re requirement 100 characters, well I can add 55 more letters here if that's what you really want!

Visited during the Mothman Festival and the place was jammed packed but we did love seeing all the displays. We need to come down when it's less busy to be able to enjoy it all. Lots of fun and some interesting things....you can't go wrong!

It was mostly cheesy and lots of news clippings and movie references. Not exactly what I wouldn't call a museum, but the staff were kind.

This past weekend, I went to Point Pleasant, WV for the Mothman Festival. While there, I of course, toured the Mothman Museum. There was a ton of memorabilia, historical accounts, and other pertinent things about the Mothman sightings. It was very interesting! If anyone is interested in the Mothman story, I would highly suggest a trip to Point Pleasant, especially... More

I have been interested in the Mothman legend for a long time and finally made it to the festival this year. The museum was very interesting, they have a lot of documents from the 60's when everything happened. The also have a piece of the old Silver bridge, as well as a lot of props from the movie. There is... More
