Early morning fishing with Kotaro. While Kotaro was visiting this summer he asked me to take him fishing. We woke up early and drove to the park's lake to go fishing.

Most people come here to swim or hang out at the beach but the park has a nice trail around the quarry. The park is clean and the staff is friendly. Lifeguards on duty at the beach and you have to pay to get in.

We live nearby and visit this pleasant man made beach often. My kids like it, and it's very manageable. Be forewarned, though, the lifeguards do "safety checks" every few hours, and you will need to exit the water completely for 20 minutes at 1:09, 3:00,...More

I do not think you can take your own paddle board or any other canoe or kayak etc on the water. They only allow their rentals.
