Interesting monument. Young kids will get a kick out of it. Adults will find the story about it interesting. Right next to the freeway so worth a stop to stretch your legs and get gas at the associated gas station and convenience store. Take a family picture by it.

Another silly roadside attraction that I could't pass up. A selfie must. The fact that "Pinkie" is wearing glasses makes it so much more fun.

Loved the story attached behind the elephant and I posted a pic of it as well. Talked to many others that have stopped n took pics.... More

Stopped here passing by DeForest on our way north in Wisconsin. This elephant is located by a Shell station. Kids enjoyed it and it was a fun photo opportunity. Fun to stop, stretch your legs and see a pink elephant while sober. HAHA Well I hope you're sober if you're driving by. Seriously, it was a fun 5 minute diversion... More

Definitely stop to see the Pink Elephant and take a photo with it! It's GREAT. For the best photo, keep time of day in mind. I was there later in the day with the sun coming from behind the elephant. Standing in front, by the trunk, meant that we were in the shadow. The story about the elephant--who's been there... More

It seems to be a popular stop with tourists. There is often a family taking pictures of the kids with the elephant. I've been here for years and never felt the need to stop.

The Pink Elephant at the gas station in De Forest has been a favorite of kid's for many years. He has been recently refurbished & looks much better. Great photo op plus just across the Interstate is a huge cow at Ehlenbach's Cheese House. Two larger than life animals - one stop!

Just drive on by... he's by the Shell gas station. One of a few random art pieces that made me love this place even more. :)

We were driving from Chicago to South Dakota and hit this up as a little spot for our kids to stretch their legs. But even if you're just on your way up to the Wisconsin Dells this is a totally worth while stop. There's a little sign with the history of this pink elephant which is actually pretty interesting. Then... More
