We were there Mon.-Wed., not a holiday week; lots of empty campsites. We hadn't reserved ahead, so we were able to drive around to pick out a site. We stayed at Cox Hollow, #114-near flush toilets/showers but not so close that the bright light from...More

This was a beautiful and well run park. A ranger was running the entrance and was super helpful and the trails were all well marked.

Although it is a permit required state park, the winding drive from entrance to the lake itself is beautiful! Fall colors abound, and the beach at the lake is more deserted than during summer months. Wildlife everywhere and just abrealxing time to sit and enjoy...More

I haven't rented one in years, but I recall it being rather expensive. Something like a 2 hour minimum and approximately $20/hour.
