Holiday train from East Troy to the Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago is a treat. We had a cute elf on our train who took pictures with the kids and got them excited to see Santa when the train stopped. Hot chocolate and cider along with cookies and coloring to enjoy after you sit on Santa's lap. Kids even get a... More

We were in Wisconsin for a couple of days to attend a family wedding. Took time out to enjoy this little excursion. We rode the train from East Troy up to the Elegant Farmer and back. The conductor explained the history of the line on the way up and gave a very informative talk on train safety on the way... More

We rode the East Troy Electric Railroad to the Elegant Farmer one Saturday morning in October. The staff were very courteous and friendly and Conductor Jim, in our rail car, was very knowledgable giving us the history of the Railroad as we traveled the 20-30 minute ride to the Elegant Farmer. The ride is also fairly smooth and comfortable. I... More

We took the train with a large group of family members from East Troy to the Elegant Farmer. We didn't have a chance to look through the museum as the wait to buy tickets was very long and they were very slow at processing requests. The train itself was a special experience, especially for children. I would only recommend the... More

We booked an evening on the "Pizza Train" on a Saturday night and it was great. The dining cars have been renovated and are beautiful! Pizza was large and good! Narration about the car and the electric railroad's history was very interesting. Scenery was cheery and we got to see a dozen or so para-sail divers float down and land... More

My wife's great grand father commuted from Milwaukee to his summer home on Lake Buelah over this line and the segment from Mukwonago to East Troy brings back yesteryear. We make it a point to bring all of our grandchildren for a ride and the retelling of the story. A big thanks to all of the volunteers that keep this... More

Very friendly people here. If you stop at the Market, be prepared to wait in line.. very popular place. Love that you can ride all day on one admission fee. Will definitely make a trip next year on the Rail Fan Day (when they run all the cars).
