We were camping at Peninsula State Park in Door County. The weather was cold, and occasionally rainy but the park still has the best hiking, biking trails and scenery that never gets old in any weather. Each season offers something new. The campsites are roomy and the campground staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The area has great places to... More

While the weather was not great when I was there, I still had a blast. It helps to come before the major crush of tourists arrives. There are hiking and biking trails, a golf course, a lighthouse, and they're building a new observation tower soon. My recommendation is the Eagle Trail. Go downhill from the Overlook parking lot, as it... More

This is one of Wisconsin's premier parks. It is difficult to get a reservation on a summer weekend, but less difficult if you can go during the week. I try to come back at least one time a year.

This parks provides great views from different points. I have visited state park in fall with my friends and in summer with my parent. It's a one time visit place. Definitely a lot more gorgeous in Fall though.

We came to the park to view the ending of a 5K run. The drive through the park was relaxing as well as beautiful! We spent most of our time on Nicolet Beach where all the activities were. The view at the shoreline is breathtaking as well as being mesmerized by the waves and dark blue waters of the Green... More

We love this park! Every time we visit Door County it is our first stop. The hiking is great, there are many trails for all skill levels with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. You can rent bicycles at one of the entrances to the park, on the Fish Creek side. There is a very nice beach. Kayaks & canoes... More

If you like minimal crowds this is the place to be in April. We seemed to have the whole park to ourselves so walks in the woods were especially quiet and peaceful.

We went here in early april and it was unusually warm day. Park was empty because its not the season yet but that made it more perfect for us. We went on small trails and the eagle trail. It is not that difficult as they say but wear trail shoes and take your time do not run because there are... More

Visiting the state park was great. We were able to walk on the road with very little traffic and saw the outside of the lighthouse there. Although there was much fog and it was an overcast day, I was taken aback by the beauty that was at every angle. It was very interesting to read about the bats and the... More
