Specifically came to Fish Creek to hike the Eagle Trail. I don't know why this trail is supposedly so difficult. It's not bad at all, just wear hiking boots to support your ankles and use hiking poles or a walking stick or two. This is...More

My husband and I have been coming to Peninsula State Park for 21+ years and every time we come we have to do the Eagle Trail. It is rated "difficult", and it is. But even as we have gotten older it is still doable. We...More

Peninsula Sate Park is amazing - great park with plenty of scenic walking/hiking and biking trails. We visited the second weekend of May and had fantastic weather. It was 70 degrees when we embarked on our Eagle trail hike. The Eagle trail is an expert...More

We took on this hike in cooler weather which turned out to be just right. We needed to watch out step with rocks, roots and streams. This also made it interesting to view the water, caves and terrain. We had a light rain just after...More

Just a heads up that they close this trail in the winter. I was really disappointed as this was the one trail I most wanted to do. (A lot of other trails are closed in the winter too, unless you're going snowshoeing/skiing so plan better...More

We enjoyed the rock cliffs, water views, and forest trail. Even though this trail is rated difficult, we didn't think it was. It does have rocky, uneven sections and some with many tree roots, and compared to other area trails I suppose it's difficult, but...More

While the "Difficult " rating is dismissed by some, it still is about the most strenuous hike you'll find in Door County with some scrambling involved. Lovely views of woods and water, and intriguing cliffs. One strong caveat for neophyte hikers: wear solid shoes, especially...More

I have not seen or heard about nesting Eagles there and the caves do not look very large. 920-868-3258 is the peninsula Park ranger station and they have always been helpful with answers.
