My family and I have been visiting the Wilderness Walk for over 20 years. If you are visiting Hayward with kids, this is a must do! You can see everything in under an hour or stay for an afternoon.

I did not expect such a big variety of animals as we found at the Wilderness Walk! It is easy to view the animals and there were extra "fun" things for the kids to do as well as seeing the animals. Loved the Mystery House!...More

My girls loved it they were running from one exhibit to the next. The goats on the tower were our highlight made us laugh. And the staff was very friendly.

Wilderness walk is not really a wilderness walk, it is a zoo with a small petting area and then animals in cages. It was ok but not for the price, was thinking it would be more for the price. I would not pay to do...More

My kids absolutely loved it. Liked they could feed all kinds of animals and touch them as well. Good hands on experience for school age children and not bad for teenagers too.

I recommend this for everyone and any age if you enjoy the wilderness you'll enjoy this place. When you get there you see the gift shop where you buy your tickets and then away you go to start your adventure.

We found $1 off coupons in one of the free hayward lakes travel magazines, sorry I can't remember which one, we picked them up at Walgreens in town before we went. It still cost $58 for 4 adults, but it was worth it.
