If you are a trout fisherman who likes wine, stop here

Great fishing, nice place to stop for lunch and decent wine. A great place to stop. TripAdvisor is being annoying and not letting me submit a review unless I type 100 characters.

We live near Highland and have visited several times. They have a welcoming staff and great wine. Our favorite is when they have events where they pair wines with cheese, meat or chocolate.

It was our 3rd Winery stop of the weekend, and our last one. On arrival we noticed another couple enjoying a couple of glasses with cheese on the deck. The winery is nestled into the side of a pretty, scenic valley a few miles outside of Highland. Though we were 1/2 hour from closing on a Sunday we found our... More

Spurgeons is set in a beautiful southwest WI valley, roughly 6 miles west of Highland WI. It offers a wide variety of wines, wine goods, and other local cheeses, jams, summer sausages. My personal favorites are Ruby Lady, Grand Raspberry, and Sweet Cherry. Beautiful scenic drive to get to the winery as well. Enjoy the bald eagles!

Surprisingly good wine from dairy land. Though I prefer dry reds, I really like the white Lorelei (sp) and bought some as gifts for friends. Tasting room is cozy and proprietress was friendly and knowledgeable. Careful: it's hard to resist buying after sampling. Nice: they will ship your order home With bottle prices in the $10 range- this is hard... More

This place was a delightful surprise on a small day trip. The variety of wines was quite impressive and very unique compared to most wineries. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for another visit!

This is one of the wineries we always visit when in WI, and it's one of the states founding wineries (goes back to the late 70s / early 80s). It's in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip if you like fruit wines. His raspberry wine is incredible, and it is delicious with cheesecake. I was also really impressed... More

Spurgeon winery is a must stop. My 3 friends and I had made plans to visit earlier in the day when the day just got away from us. We had stopped at a winery earlier were the service was a little uncomfortable. We arrived at Spurgeon at 4:50. We thought ok we have 10 minutes. 2 of us had never... More
