Get close to the river. Lots of places to walk, and connect with longer trails through the marsh. Enjoy wildlife (ducks mostly) and nice landscaping. Open spaces and plenty of benches.

Riverside Park is a beautiful spot along the ever-changing Mississippi River. You can get a bird's eye view of the River barge and towboat traffic, walk through the Community Garden with its changing seasonal flowers, and sit on a bench to watch the incredible sunsets. There are also weekly concerts in the summer and river boat cruises every day. It... More

Have been here a few times. Grew up in La Crosse and fun to see the history of the area that you once roamed about when you were a kid and young adult and didn't think a whole lot about that stuff. Has the history of Native Americans in the area, first settlers, the logging boom, and on up to... More

Always something going on or grab a bench and sit by the river with a good book or cup of coffee. You can walk along the river, bike, jog, etc.

We got lucky and arrived in LaCrosse on a beautiful spring day of 70 degrees. We had been driving for several hours and we found this park, found a place to park our car along the river, and had a wonderful picnic with great people watching. This is a very large and very long city park situated right along the... More

This is a great walking trail area by the Mississippi River. There is plenty of places to sit and watch- people, animals and boats on the river if you like. An awesome sunset view as well.
