Great place to go for a hike, beautiful waterfalls

I've had this park on my list for years due to word of mouth raving. I expected more. The waterfall hike is a protected area but littered with trash. Normally I'd collect it as I go but I left my bags in the car. The trail is one mile only. If you are doing the waterfall circuit don't plan a... More

Two rivers merge and there are two decent sized waterfalls close to eachother in a gorge. Walking the loop around the falls and to the other side is a great way to spend an afternoon. The stairs are extremely slippery in the winter (ice covered) - snow shoes will not work, bring yak tracks or ice cleats so you can... More

Great park, great place to walk! This is one of the best maintained state parks I've been to in WI, probably due to the high traffic. Pick an early morning or off season to avoid the crowds. I can see how parking might get tricky peak summer. Be sure to go to both sets of falls, but don't waste your... More

Hiked the falls for the afternoon. Was beautiful to see with the fall colors. Very well taken care of trails and spectacular views of the falls. The only disappointment was the lookout tower. It was a long hike up to it, and once you got to the top you could not see much other than into the trees. It looks... More

Well run and maintained plus the falls and other sites are gorgeous. As others note, the tower isn't outstanding due to the height of the trees, but I'm glad we did the hike and climb. Falls are super. Bring a lunch and enjoy the day here.

We were first time visitors to this park and just loved it. The fall colors around Loon Lake were just beautiful! Loved the Doughboy trail around the falls. We were expecting it to be more strenuous, but there are steps, boardwalks with overlooks and bridges. The buildings are well maintained and have a historic feel to them since they were... More

We stayed here for a week in July when the 100 year floods hit. We were provisioned so being standing in the park waiting for the water to recede went ok for us. Nice large spaces, privacy and a few mosquitos too. We'd come back again and recommend it to others.

Great falls and good maps for the trails. The CCC trail is washed out, for about 100 feet because of the huge July flood but it's easy to detour through the woods back to the trail. Mostly there is little damage. The falls are spectacular! My son proposed to his fiance' at one of the overlooks.

We camped for five nights in Copper Falls State Park. Our campsite was a little small and we wish the North campground had their own shower facility, but otherwise, it's a nice park to camp. We camped in the South Campground where the shower was, but people from the North campground (where the RV's usually camp), kept coming over to... More

Nice park but falls is less tall due to years of erosion. Nice picnic area. Clean rest rooms. Staffed facility.
