Went in the spring when it was still a little icy, but the falls were amazing, it's a great hike and looks like a great place to stay if you like staying at state park campgrounds. Would definitely recommend.

We have visited the park in the summer and winter, what a great place, plan on spending a few hours at the park. You will need to have a state park pass or buy a daily pass.

We hiked in September, and the weather was gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as the views from the Doughboy Trail at Copper Falls State Park! It was worth the drive and the day pass!

Beautiful walk, nice trails. Walked to observation tower, didn't climb- wonderful views from trail there. Proceeded to the trail to the falls, the roaring sound, scenery was breath taking. Easy walking. First time here, looking forward to returning.

We visited this park many years ago. I was not able to put the correct year from the menu. Guessing around early 2000s. A bad storm had taken down a section of trees along a trail but it did not get in the way of...More

I haven't been to Bayfield and only visited Ashland for a part of a day a few years ago. I can't recommend any hotels, but if you are into sightseeing there are lots of things to see in the area.

There are backpacking sites for camping separate from the two campgrounds. There are also a few walk in sites from one of the campgrounds. Just talked with someone who had been fishing. He caught some trout on the river.
