The Barlow Planetarium at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley opened to the public on March 20, 1998.This is a world-class facility for 3-D excitement, giant full-color special effects and crystal-clear, five-channel, 10,000 watt THX surround sound.The Barlow Planetarium has a 48-foot projection dome and seats 98 people, with four additional spaces for wheelchair access.An Evans and Sutherland Digistar II® star projector recreates a realistic night sky and 3-D effects which pull the audience into a virtual world.Interactive keypads at each seat allow audiences to get involved in performances.Cutting-edge Sky Skan® video projection and automation systems make this planetarium state-of-the-art.

the laser show was great. the gentleman who showed us the sky before the show and explained what planets we could see and where their location in the sky at different times was really educational. great place for adults and children.

A wonderful place to go with family or friends or even alone and check out the stars....very comfortable and very interesting... a place you would want to keep on going to.

I've never seen a laser show before this one... My boyfriend and I saw the pink Floyd double feature. We loved it! And the laser shows only run from October-January, so now we have something to look forward to sitting our long winters. Will definitely...More

I absolutely love the planetarium! It's a great activity for dates, friend outings, families and school trips. The Wisconsin Skies show is my absolute favorite. It's an well-put together show and I highly recommend!

Great show. Easy parking. Nice lobby. Great guy running the show. Only 2 show times on weekends and 1 show during the week. Plan your arrival time. In the same building as Weiss Rock Museum.
