Guide at the desk was helpful. Railroad engine house building were demolished some time ago. Depot has been restored and has a number of displays of local interest.

This is a really fun ride on a crushed limestone rails to trail. The Northern section lies at the base of weeping cliffs along the river. Stop in at the tavern near the half way point for a cold one and to check out the...More

The trail runs parallel to the Red Cedar River. It is good for biking, hiking, or running. The trail is scenic, and there are places to stop and rest along the way. This trail connects to other trails. There is a fee to bike it,...More

Access point for this path was easy to find, just a few blocks from town & college campus. We walked out a couple miles, enjoyed quiet, clean, level and wide path, with views of the river and ravine walls. Next time we will bring bikes...More

Bike, walk or run this trail; you won't be disappointed; I've done it countless times! The trail is hard packed and I've ridden it with both a hybrid and a recumbent bike. I've XC skied it as well when snow conditions were right (especially scenic)....More

We off the highway near Memonomie looking for a place to stretch our legs and use a restroom. What a gem we found at the Red Cedar State Trail! If only we'd had more time to hike!

We walked for awhile on this trail after dinner one evening. Absolutely beautiful and a really nice surface on the trail. We want to come back and ride the trail, especially in the fall!

I've been using this trail for many years. I love how it stays so close to the river. The surroundings are just beautiful. There are places to stop along the way. Having a lot of shade is nice to in warm weather.
