The perfect window into Gilded Age Milwaukee and the story of one of its most prominent families -- we were there on a somewhat crowded open house day, but that barely detracted from the incredible beauty of this wonderful old house (and let us tour...More

Thank you for your kind words, it was indeed a crowded day and I am glad that you enjoyed the house in spite of the huge turn-out. There were Pabst descendants here that day, too!

The tour was so interesting! The guide had fascinating stories and information about every room. The intricate decor was fascinating! The mansion is tucked between a TV station building and a dorm building. Years ago, the road was called Grand Ave and over 80 mansions...More

Arrived not knowing much about the Pabst family. Enjoyed the tour of the beautiful home. Cal K. (Docent) gave an informative tour of all the rooms, their special stories and secrets. Once fully restored this mansion will be gorgeous! Well worth the time and fee...More

This home is a work in process. Most of the house has been refurbished and it is beautiful. The docents are very knowledgeable about the family, home and furnishings. Another place in Milwaukee that is a must see at least once.

Thank you very much for your review. This last week was extremely busy with all the festivals in the city and our 125th Anniversary related festivities. You are correct, smaller groups are what we prefer also, but we were at capacity for all tours and...More

Really good example of turn off the century grand old mansion. On the day we were there, way too crowded as the Cubs were in town for a weekend series against the Brewers. Of course we were in Milwaukee for the same reason. We will...More

We took a half hour walk from our hotel through Marquette University to be greeted by a lawn party at the mansion. It was an anniversary event so it was free entry with polka music and food and drinks. No tours today so we were...More

We had a 125th Anniversary party for the housewith a reunion for the Pabst descendants. They were kind enough to cover the costs of an open house and a polka band and had beer and food available. Over 1,500 people came for the open house...More

To see where Captain Pabst and his family lived and the incredible mansion they built in 1890 is a true part of MKE history. The craftmanship is amazing, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and there were some surprises like the mansion was sold after...More
