Awe inspiring. Grandiose. Breathtaking. The Grain Exchange elicits all these responses and more, with its unparalleled beauty and historic decor. A three story, nearly 10,000 sq. Ft. Room, located in downtown Milwaukee's Mackie Building, showcases soaring ceilings, frescos, handsome granite, limestone and sandstone. There is a 175 ft. Bell tower in the center of the room, yet the focus of this outstanding facility is ultimately the shining performance of Bartolotta Catering and Events. Superseding the standards of this majestic room, we offer four-star, restaurant quality food with unprecedented service for wedding receptions, gatherings and corporate events.

As the exclusive caterer for this location, we strive to create a unique experience from beginning to the perfect end. Whether social or business, we have event coordinators on staff who will assist in facilitating each and every detail.

So why would I give this place an average rating when the main course was amazing. Well we were here for a wedding. The butler passed appetizers were sparse. They did start coming around a bit more right before the main course seating. Maybe they weren't prepared. The main course was truly amazing. Dessert was not as good as the... More

We walked around downtown and stopped in after reading TA reviews about the murals. The building is beautiful, go up to the second floor to check out the ceiling and murals and the doors. Great way to get out of the heat for a couple minutes!

Worth the 10 minutes it takes to see the great hall. Check out the murals, which tells the history of Wisconsin.

We went to the Grain Exchange for a wedding reception. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Our experience was so good that we will return for our wedding anniversary for dinner.

Worth a quick stop --- They usually have the building open during Doors Open MKE in Sep, so pop in if you are in the area.

An awesome venue if price is no object. The drinks, wait staff and meals were outstanding. For the larger group they had food stations. They provided enough variety and every dish was superior in flavor.

Came here on business for dinner in the Ballroom. The room is gorgeous. Beautiful stained glass, high ceilings and artwork. Food and and service was good as well. Job well done by the team.

I attended a wedding reception at the Grain Exchange last weekend and holy mackerel, it was GORGEOUS. The food- delicious. The service- perfect. The ambiance- unforgettable. I worked for a number of years for a high-end caterer so my tastes are pretty picky when it comes to formal events at venues like this. Bartolotta KILLED it. I had barely set... More

We had our daughter's wedding in late November last year and everything was well coordinated, decorated and the dining by Bartolotta's was first rate. Opt for your own deejay since the one in-house with the lights is very ordinary and did not follow the pre-selected play list very well. we also had a bagpiper and wonderful guests from around the... Just attended a wedding in Milaukee that was held here. Great location, around many hotels and bars in the middle of downtown. Awesome, huge room. Excellent staff, the food is also very good. I had salmon, and usually fish is a gamble at a wedding. Needless to say, I was very pleased with my meal. Looks to be pricey, but... More
