I visited Peck's wildwood park in the summer of 2016. I thought that the park did an excellent job in educating the public in regards to wildlife conservation. At the same time, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the one lonely bear that was stuck in a small cage with no stimulation. This doesn't show anything but abuse. I... More

Thank you for your review, however, you have us confused with Wildwood Wildlife Park. We do not have any captive bears. We invite you to visit us here at Northwoods Wildlife Center and visit our many resident wildlife ambassadors. If you have any questions, please call us at 715-356-7400. More

This was a really cool experience and we will definitely go back. There are so many different animals to see and it is a really unique experience. It is a little on the pricey side but we enjoyed our time there.

We read a lot of great reviews about this place so we decided to take the kids over on a rainy day. We followed the recommended $5 per person donation for the tour adding up to $30. The tour only lasted 15 minutes and there were only 5 birds to see. The guide didn't even wait until we were all... More

The Northwoods Wildlife Center is a refuge for wounded or baby animals, amphibians, birds, reptiles and mammals. The Center uses research based strategies for fostering their animals to make certain they can be released back into the wild and thrive- this means that the baby porcupines, deer, and other mammals are not in view (you can see the baby birds... Great little rehab for wild animals just off the main drag of Minocqua. Have been to area many times since my good friend's family owns Camp Highland for Boys in the area. Don't know why have never stopped there before, but am very glad we decided to visit this time. Although most of the animals that are being rehabbed are... More

This non profit wildlife rescue center is a blessing to all wild creatures. We saw many that were well cared for with custom protective shelters for rehab to be released back into the wild. It is so sad to realize that some do not appreciate what wildlife really is. They are wild for a reason. We want them to do... More

A unique learning experience that truly kept our two grandsons interested. And we've learned that when we catch Northern and don't want to eat it, we can freeze it and bring it in for eagle food.
