Hell of a 1st 1/4 mile up the hill but after that it is smooth sailing. Very knowledgable naturalists. Mosquito Hill is a huge supporter of Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs and hosts their Warrior Princess Mud Run every year so that makes them aces in my book.

We are so fortunate to live in easy distance from two excellent parks. We have visited Mosquito Hill many times in warm weather for hikes, workshops and guided walks. Friendly, knowledgeable staff help any visit fun and informative. Visit in snow time for x-country skiing and snowshoeing. The visitor center is modern and well done. It is ADA accessible as... Great quiet hiking place. I usually bring along a camera or two because there are usually many deer and quite a few birds. There are always special events year around but I like coming early morning when not so many people are here.

Awesome programs and economical for families as they charge by the car. My kids loved the snake, owl and bee program, as well as the star gazing series. They do fun activities around all the seasons. It's also a nice place to hike, and there are even some geocaches through out the area.

We first became acquainted with Mosquito Hill when they still had their Butterfly House. Unfortunately, the BH was closed Fall of 2014, but there are PLENTY of other things to do there. Then I got involved with their "Serious Snow Shoe Hikes". Described as NOT being a leisurely stroll, these hikes were great exercise. While there for one of the... More

I have been here many times, they have a wonderful trail system for snowshoes and hiking, wonderful staff, a wide range of activities, and very nice displays. I've been to the fall family events, the winter family events, ( we love the sled dogs) ( and the smores), valentine events, snowshoeing, it is always well done. Mike even helped me... More

I go hiking here regularly throughout the year mainly because its very peaceful, (especially early morning) and a fairly good spot for photography. You can get a good workout climbing the sloping hills up to the top and see a lot of wildlife in the process.
