My wife and I just happened to stumble upon the National Brewery Museum in Potosi, WI this weekend. What a fun and interesting stop. Lots and lots of "beer" history inside this building, and the displays are constantly changing. All displays are donated by personal collections from around the country. Tons of old beer signs, bottles, lights, etc. You can... More

We live 30 minutes away in Dubuque and thought we would try something new. We were unable to go on a tour, the only tour on a Saturday in winter is at 1:30pm (we knew this in advance but we had planned on eating supper). We arrived at 5:30pm for supper. We were in a group of 6. Bar was... More

If you have any interest in the history of the beer business, this well out of the way attraction is worth the effort to visit. Located in a small southwest Wisconsin town on the Great River Road, this fascinating museum would seem more likely to be found in Milwaukee, St. Louis, or some other more prominent brewing location. The very... More

This is an interesting tour. You start off by learning a little about the history of the brewery and tasting the beers. You then enter the facility that is very modern and learn about the process of making the beer. We also got to tour the National Brewery museum. They have several displays of past breweriana that are changed periodically.

Good for adults and children. Even better when there's an event on. Listen to the age by history and how brewing began. Enjoy the horses go for a ride on a dray. See the old vehicles but don't forget to go into the brewery tap !! Try the local beverage sit back and enjoy.

We were fascinated by the amount of history such as the various bottles and cans dating back hundreds of years. As well as the advertising , old capping equipment and numerous displays all set in an old stone building.

As a kid I would visit areas near Potosi. We'd drive through the town and the ramshackle brewery. Sometimes visit the lead mine. So when a manager of a Madison area restaurant told me about the Potosi brewery and museum I put it on my list of road trips for this summer. The museum gives you a glimpse back to... More

The old beer commercials were a hoot. Lots of old beer relics - enjoyed seeing some of the old brands that are long gone.
