Amazing sanctuary for wildlife. I have visited the Shalom Wildlife Center a few times this past year, and each time different animals came out to say hello. The best time of the day to visit seems to be later morning and on cooler, overcast days. And the opportunity to feed the animals to get such an up close view of... More

Great family experience. Took eight year old grandson and he wants to go back. Unique animals in natural settings. Painless learning experience for all.

We heard of this wonderful place from my father who is in his 80's and after his glowing review decided to have a special day there with our grandchildren. The kids were excited and easily walked the trails. An unexpected "bonus" was searching for hidden pumpkins scattered throughout the property with little prizes for the kids inside. The animals were... More

Nice to visit an area that you have the opportunity to feed some of the animals. Can spend hours walking the area but if you prefer, they have golf carts for rent which will get you through the park in 1 and 1/2 hours. Fun time with or without children. Interesting.

Not a lot of advertisement for this wild life Zoo. All had a great time. Good feed the animals and took about 2 hours to walk. Found out three more families were going after went for a quick trip before school started. Love the Bears the moose little zebras and the camel

We stayed across the street at the Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast (amazing in it's own) and this was recommended to us by the owners. We thought why not since it is so close so we decided to make the very short trip to see some interesting animals. We bought one bag of feed which seemed to be plenty for... More

We've lived in this are for the last 16 years and finally got to visit Shalom this summer. I can't believe we waited so long! We had a wonderful experience on their beautiful property. The golf cart was a fun addition and we believe worth the extra cost. The animals were so close and you could feed the majority of... More

Went here with my daughter and grandchildren. Visitors can walk the trails, but we decided to rent a golf cart and drive the trails. We all had a lot of fun. Enjoyed feeding the animals and enjoyed just being out in the woods. Nice restrooms and gift shop. A great way to spend an afternoon.
