Learning about the geologic history of the area and the West is worth several hours of time. A very nice museum and not crowded.

We were lucky to get into the Tate on a Sunday because they were open for the Eclipse weekend. It is a tiny museum but I really enjoyed the exhibits and the best part was when they took small tours over to the shed where...More

Sure some big city museums have bigger more dramatic stuff. But here it's up close and personal. Enough specimens to keep any science nerd kid transfixed. Friendly staff who will take you to the building next door where the T-rex skeleton is still being worked...More

Cool little museum on the college campus. See old bones dug up right nearby in Casper. Free admission too!

It is focused on paleontology and geology and does a fine job with both. It's tiny as museums go, but crammed with interesting and generally very nicely describe things. (I also liked the exhibits where the fossils were all labeled as "real", "replica" or "model"...More

A small museum, but we were there for three hours. The highlight was a T-Rex still being processed for display

A small but well-done paleontological museum. I've been there numerous times and still enjoy going. Excellent displays (including interactive and touch), hands-on area for kiddos, knowledgeable staff, interesting tours (by paleontologists). Good place to learn about Wyoming, too. Great little gift store, too! Highly recommended.

I think my favorite thing about this museum is they have geologist working behind the glass window that you can ask questions and bring your finds to for evaluations. You can't get that at the big museums.

I don't remember there being a charge. I think there was a donation box. I just looked at their website and didn't see an entrance charge. Visit their website and give them a call.

It's free. And they have a donation box if you want to help. They have a mammoth that is great along with so many other things.
