This Corinthian-style edifice was modeled after the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The famous Esther Hobart Morris Statue stands in front of the building, in honor of the first woman to hold judicial office in modern times.

Was touring downtown Cheyenne after dinner to look for old mansions when my wife spotted the capitol building. I enjoy touring capitol buildings due to the architecture quality that they usually have. Unfortunately, the building is covered with scaffolds and tarps at the time we...More

Only ranked it poor because it was surrounded with construction material. I would have loved to see it, but I did stop on the side of the street and take some pictures!

I would normally rank this higher. I visited a number of years ago and remember it being quite beautiful. It has a very unique gold dome that you can see from pretty much anywhere in the city. Right now they are renovating the capitol and...More

Everything is blocked off there, don't waste your time. Looks like they are redoing the outside as well as some interior.

The capital is pretty but I would wait until the restoration is completed to visit. There are a lot of scaffolding and construction obstructing the view.

Currently under construction, but golden rotunda still visible and looks good. Were told renovations would not be completed until next year. Maybe next time.
