Wandered the base as we were in town visiting friends; much has changes since we were here in the late 70s, but much has stayed the same...old brick quarters, antelope roaming around, etc.

The base has many historic building built in 1867 and the newer buildings built in the early 1900's. It's a large and quiet expanse of land, The RV "Family Camp" (for active duty and retired military) is great. Very peaceful with the exception of a...More

It was a great place to visit. There is so much history and heart on this base and in this community. The animals abound, and we loved it here!

We visited the base for several days at the end of August. The base is an interesting collection of historic brick buildings and new construction. There are antelope grazing all over the base as well as Canadian Geese.

This is an excellent base for those that have access to see history well preserved. It appears that the buildings are still used for the benefit of our country. The Pronghorns move about the base freely as do many birds. One must be observant to...More

How far in advance can you book a room? We are driving to St. George, Utah in October from Iowa. My husband is retired Air Force.

Considering a trip up to WAFB Museum while in the area this summer. Just curious if the missiles are deactivated and on display by the front gate why/how is photography of them prohibited? Is Museum access allowed at all for non-military people? Their website says it's open to the public, but some reviewers said not unless are military or retired military.

I believe you need to be military to get on/stay on base. I got on because my son is in the military.
